Yall really arguing over claiming the most embarrassing fashion trends in black history :hubie:
what about white tees that’s embarrassing

Some truth to this. I don't think I knew anybody that listened to fukkin Jay Z back then:mjlol:

Edit: Everybody ain't a dust head from Staten island. Same way y'all hate southern hip Hop back then southern nikkas hated that east coast shyt, y'all seem to either forget or don't know that. I remember pulling up listening to what the game made me back then nikkas was looking at me like I had 10 heads talkin bout WTF I'm listening to. 6x rocawear button up nikkas ain't gon like this one though.

And everybody in this thread is taking op out of context and basically building strawmen, addressing some shyt op ain't say.
I’m deep in New Orleans and everybody listened to jay

But I bet it's plenty of nikkas in N.O. that ain't wanna hear shyt but Louisiana and other southern artists. I was the only nikka in my age range that fukked with east coast rappers in my area, but I chalk that up to me becoming a Hip Hop head way before other nikkas.
I guess It depends where u from. shyt already a fasion statement
I already know what you talkin bout. Hot boys had nikkas on tees, bauds, and Rees in the late 90s early 00s but franchize gave it another shot of adrenaline in 04.

The album version of this song was more street and had a darker beat. I just recently noticed that this song came out before the snap era but they was doin the snap dance in the video. Lean wit it rock wit it and oh I think they like me remix kicked that lil era off.

Nah. Not many in New Orleans during that time was really listening to other Louisiana rappers outside of new Orleans. New Orleans is a very closed market. Boosie and gates are probably the first we imbraced from Louisiana. And during the early 2000s New Orleans was heavy influenced by east coast, u couldn’t go anywhere without people rocking roc a wear, state property gear.

New Orleans totally different than other parts of the south
