What's up with all of these 90's babies talking about they grew up to his music after he died? :dahell: What's with all of this "he was my icon" shyt?:dahell: We gonna act like he wasn't looked at as a fukking pervert for the last decade of his existence? :dahell: We gonna act like the only people at his concerts weren't the same middle aged white women that were releasing doves at his trial?:dahell: Now he's an icon? Now he's special to ya'll?:dahell: Now you were "always a fan" and "knew he was innocent"? :dahell: Where were you "true fans" when he was getting shytted on day in and day out? So he wasn't the butt of every joke now?:dahell: The hood was fukking with Michael, huh?:dahell: The same Michael climbing trees and getting cancer boys drunk?:dahell: Maybe I just have a bad memory...:mjpls:

Older heads loved him but it was corny how young people acted like they were into his music when he passed

If you're black, michaels music was playing in your house. I was born in 92 and im pretty sure by 97 i heard all of dudes music.

I don't even like dude, but his music played a part in my childhood.

Maybe if you're a cac what you are saying is true.

You hardly need to be a music head to know 20 Michael Jackson songs.

Peep Katt Williams stand-up rant on MJ. He prefaces it with how black people still supported dude. Largely, if you're an Icon we support you to the death.

Yeah, MJ was hated on pretty bad while he was alive, not me though, it was bumping that thriller 25th anniversary album heavy while he was still living :mj:

The remake of "Wanna be starting something" with Akon :lawd:

My only problem was people who hadn't given off the wall/Bad/Thriller/Dangerous spins in years after he died acting like those albums stayed in rotation like that

Only real hate I remember was in the media. Most people I remember mighta tossed a joke around but as for not being loved...I cant co sign that....Too many people had Mike in the psyche of their childhood.

I'm not even trying to here some bullsh*t about any kid touching cuz he was never found guilty in the court of law........Meanwhile no one really stresses what Pete Townsend did and he really did cross the line yet Rock fans act like that never happened and acknowledge The Who as Rock gods......Elvis crossed the line as well and is considered the king of rock and roll......If The Who can be loved and Elvis can be loved then Mike who was never found guilty shouldnt be a victim of double standard.

Black people were still okay with MJ

CACS however they were behind the whole 'WACKO JACKO' thing.

Cac's clowned him way more than black people did.

Bullshyt thread. Mike's music was ingrained in the brains of EVERYONE. There's not a 90's baby alive that didn't grow up hearing Mike's music. Whether you looked at him as a weirdo is irrelevant. Most people enjoyed his music...young, old, and in between. fukk outta here with this insinuation that young people started acting like they enjoyed his music after his death.

It was more of a cac media obsession with assassinating mike's character.

Mike was and is still the man in most black homes, especially family gatherings and cook outs.
