Dolphin fans have been doing mental gymnastics convincing themselves Tua is special, they even trying to convince everyone that he’s just as good or better than Herbert and Burrow

Wow. Justin Herbert isn't perfect but he's shown flashes of elite play in a very competitive division.

Tua hasn't performed anywhere close to Herbert at the NFL level.

I want more context for why Sean Payton feels that way.

At the very least, the Ryan Fitzpatrick comment explains his point of view.

I'm not a believer in Tua as a championship caliber quarterback. But he has tools on offense this year. I'm willing to give him more time to see how the season goes.

Sounds like he just thinks Teddy B would serve the team better than Tua.

I didn’t see the game but I didn’t hear anything about Tua shytting the bed Sunday. What’s this noise for? Was he bad?

He had a couple of missed passes that they magnified to 100. Miami, left points on the field, but Tua overall had a GREAT, QB rating. Extremely efficient. There was nothing I saw from Sunday that’ll lead credence to Tua getting benched before seasons end. Typical weird media.

I agree with Fitz. Tua is a precision passer. Needs a good running game I think , but he's solid. More of a complementary piece than a "force multiplier", but you can win with him. I think the Mike McDaniel scheme is good for him
