A lot of bad mothers slip through the cracks of criticism because society is so focused on the 'deadbeat dad', and believing that the mother is automatically a good parent

Just so I'm clear I believe the best situation is to have both your mother and father in your life. It doesn't end there though. The parents have to be positive role models and have the proper amount of resources to raise the children. The father needs to be patriarchal and explain legacy building to his son.

I'm not saying children are better off without their father. I'm saying children are better off without a bad father who could have a negative influence on the child's life. The same applies to a bad mother. The children are better off without a bad mother.

Well no one does. All they do is try to attack me but I get your point and I do agree with you.

Even in these circumstances, what such a man gives to his child is the foremost example of what a man can be/do.

Just like you have children that want to grow up to be like their father, you have children that grow up and not want to be like their father after seeing his example. That is valuable like experience that the fatherless child misses out on.

It's a double edged sword for real.
