Yeah there are some cases where you damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Usually at that point in a relationship or in a relationship with a person that you can’t communicate with effectively (without always arguing) it may be time to let that relationship go.

How are you supposed to resolve issues if you don't communicate? .

Do you believe that issues will resolve itself by doing nothing?

Even if communicating creates another issue, then at least you will learn that it may be in your best interest to remove yourself from the person you are having an issue with, if you so choose?

I believe that some people are fearful of the outcomes they may face if they communicate.

I am a staunch believer in communication! From my experience, effective communication has made life easier and it is helping my current relationship flourish. No issues at all...

Even if I had an issue, then I know that I have a choice on what course of action to take should I fail to resolve the issue.

It’s not what you say, but how you say it and when you say it. OP is right. Communication not that cut and dry as people make it out to be. It’s full of nuance. Some people get anxiety when having to tell, ask, or answer something. It took me the longest to realize this. People have called me confrontational or intimidating and I be like what?! But I’m more direct and straight up and everyone is not like that.

Communication is a simple calculus. I think a lot of times people avoid communicating because they're afraid of being confronted.

Anytime I've been in a situation like that, I just tell myself that it's best to confront it now and get it over with.
