Jay-z claimed the album would represent a duality between fame and how he navigates through it, sort of like a deeper look into him as a person. Instead all I heard was the same tired basquit, tom ford, afflence rap we have heard before.

It's as though jigga was given a word of a day calender and then tried to get his pseudo-intellect on and just throw it into his promo.

But if i'm missing something, people please feel free to point it out

its the dualities between fame and everyday life. like how you struggle to reach that level and then you struggle to maintain that certain lifestyle. all the complexities that come with that life. writing new rules for the ones who are trying to achieve it. so they can follow the blueprint that Jay has laid out for them. all these dualities its really quite difficult to understand after only a couple of listens. this is one of those timeless classics where it takes a while to click
