So Meek is a beast on the mic?..lol..he's one of the best lyricist?..Beans wouldn't eat his food on the mic?..Peedi wouldn't eat his food on the mic?..shyt...Peedi has a FAR better flow and cadence on the mic than Meek and he writes his shyt...

It doesn't even make sense, on any level. How can it be better not to write it down?

It helps with not forgetting thoughts, structure and it's much easier to actually work on the verse after you've completed it. There aren't any perks in not writing your lyrics, it's idiotic not to. The way you can work with your song if you have it penned down is on a completely different level than what you could do with something you've just memorized off the top of your head.

I was at Lupe saying on twitter how he never "wrote" the response to Kendricks Control verse.

writing lyrics puts u at a disadvantage because when ur writing its hard keep track of flow, cadence is more arificial and its just less natural

when u record off dome things flow more smoothly, u showcase more charisma etc. ofc this wont take one take...off dome is used to create a template and then u go from there
