This book would be an instant best seller....somebody must of gotten to him.... either goons or a payoff.

He's talked about one day doing it, he says he hasn't put anything on paper in what would constitute a book form.
My guess is that he is a surprisingly young guy (I think late 30's) and still works for The Oregonian where he quit the Blazer beat (because of the fukkery) to take the Oregon Ducks beat, but when he gets older or if he no longer works for The Oregonian we could see a book or him co-producing a 30 for 30 type thing. It would be one of the most entertaining sports stories, it is amazing waiting to happen.

Just hearing the local sports radio guys, who got to be around the team during home games, but weren't at practice or road trips, talk about how crazy those dudes were...I bet the untold stories are incredible.

Blazers to miss Wallace's histrionics for next seven games

NEW YORK (AP) -- Trail Blazers forward Rasheed Wallace was suspended Saturday for seven games without pay for confronting and threatening a referee outside the Rose Garden in Portland.

Referees mentioned the confrontation in a routine report filed after Portland's 100-92 victory over Memphis on Wednesday night.

"He accosted a referee and threatened him," NBA senior vice president Stu Jackson said during a conference call Saturday.

Jackson refused to elaborate on the confrontation, which happened after the game in the arena's loading dock, where players and other game personnel park their cars.

"It's absolutely not fair," Blazers coach Maurice Cheeks said prior to his team's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. "I certainly don't believe he deserved seven games. I think this is a result of Rasheed's reputation and the Portland Trail Blazers' reputation."

Jackson said there was no physical contact between Wallace and referee Tim Donaghy.

"We strongly believe the penalty that we issued was appropriate for Rasheed's actions," Jackson said.

Wallace can appeal the suspension. His agent, Bill Strickland, did not immediately return phone messages left at his office.

Even if he appeals, you're not going to get back seven games," Cheeks said. "We're still going to lose him. An appeal doesn't do any good for us. It's just something to put on a piece of paper."

Wallace scored a season-high 38 points and had 10 rebounds against Memphis. Donaghy called a technical foul on him with 9:45 to go in the third quarter. The call appeared to be for the way Wallace returned the ball to another referee after he was called for a foul.

Wallace led the league in technical fouls the past three seasons, breaking his own record by getting 41 in 2000-01. On Feb. 1, 2001, Wallace threw a towel that grazed referee Gary Benson's face after the official had ejected him.

Wallace had 27 technical fouls last season, and has just five this season.

"I really believe Rasheed has made major strides," Cheeks said. "At the same time the officials have to change as well. It's not all on Rasheed. He's walked away a lot more than some officials have."

Jackson said Wallace's prior indiscretions were taken account.

I observed a male subject and female subject who appeared completely awake and alert lying on the bed inside the room. They were about eight to twelve feet from where we were standing, inside the doorway near the foot of the bed. I observed a male subject facing me sitting partially upright in the bed with his left arm concealed under a pillow to his left, while his right arm was concealed under the bed sheets near his lap.

I heard Deputy Stinson giving commands for the subjects to show their hands. I observed the female subject immediately complied, but the male kept his hands concealed ... I commanded Randolph to show me his hands three more times allowing several seconds between each command for him to comply, but he did not. Several seconds later Deputy Stinson commanded Randolph to show us his left hand, which he finally complied presenting an empty hand. Without being instructed to, Randolph immediately stood up out of bed, and I witnessed my eye line was below his chest. He appeared very muscular and athletic. I immediately identified Randolph was at least a foot taller and far more muscular than me. Based on Randolph's size and presence, I was concerned he could over power me should an altercation ensure. While I was continuing to point my firearm at Randolph's center mass, he took two steps toward me, pressing my firearm against his muscular chest, smirked and then put his hands behind his head.

Upon further investigation, I then found a glock 9mm under his pillow, two assault rifles in a enclosed compartment of his bed-frame and a desert eagle under his bed.

A lot of Blazer fans look down on this era...I loved it! Something new every week lol. It was better than the overly nice guy era which followed. We was missing the playoffs every year. I missed "Trader Bob' (the GM). Dude would get any and everybody who had talent...didn't give a fukk what his past was.
