Believe it or not, the Spurs are actually a real rival to GOAT franchise and have had a winning tradition for some years. Yet and still the Lakers have a winning record against the Spurs in their era of greatness and in particular Kobe v. Duncan highly in Kobe's favor. I dunno, that's just what it's like to watch a great team best another great team and go that extra mile.
Maybe someday the heats or whatever team his majesty goes to will give you a chance to experience that kind of competition in basketball from a fans perspective.
