I spent too much time on the coli this week looking at "trauma porn"* so I gotta log off, plus the thread will get quickly be contaminated, but, since you said the Caribbean, Central America, and South America, that's what I based my statement off of.

Places like DR are majority black, Guatemala, Peru and Mexico, most people have an indigenous Native American look (I wouldn't call that white).

I'm not an expert though, and haven't traveled to most of these places anyway to see things first-hand.

Recently on this thread, some of us were having a discussion on who and what is latino.

I don't get how or why thecoli and Yanks in general, don't understand that 'Latino' is a meta-ethnocultural group and not a race.
There are White/Euro Latinos (Go to Argentina, Uruguay and Southern Brazil), Afro/Black Latinos (Mi no black, papi) and Amerindian Latinos (Central America and Bolivia have plenty) and everybody in between.

It seems like if you have more 'Southern European' facial features, then you might be seen as 'latino'. Hmmmmmmmm!?
