Shaquille O'Neal
Kareem Abdul Jabbar
Tim Duncan
Moses Malone
Bill Russell
Wilt Chamberlain
Oscar Robertson
Magic Johnson
Bob Pettite
Larry Bird
Isiah Thomas
LeBron James
Jason Kidd
Charles Barkley
Kevin Garnett
Karl Malone
Elgin Baylor
Hakeem Olajuwon
Michael Jordan
Rick Barry
Julius Erving
John Havlicek
Kobe Bryant

I have all of these players above Dirk, off the top of my head. I do go back-and-forth with the Dirk/Chuck/KG/Malone though; I have them pretty much all grouped as one as the best power forward of all-time (people know how I feel about Tim Duncan as a "power forward").

I really don't even have Dirk in my top 30. Nothing against him though.

Even if we only kept it modern era ('79 and beyond) I don't think Dirk is a top 15 player.

He's in my top 15. One of the 5 best shooters ever, ten to 15 best scorers ever, and one of the best Playoff performers ever period regardless of Position. The only PF I have ahead of his Is Duncan

One of the few men in history to be a 10X All star/Nba Champion/League MVP/FinalsMVP:salute:

My favorite Dirk Game

Juwan's first year in Dallas he averaged 17.8/7.1/2.6.

Micheal Finley was a 2 time all-star in Dallas.

Finley averaged these numbers with Dirk.

Year 1 20.2/5.3/4.4
Year 2 22.6/6.3/5.3
Year 3 21.5/5.2/4.4
Year 4 20.6/5.2/3.3
Year 5 19.3/5.8/3.0
Year 6 18.6/4.5/2.9
Year 7 15.7/4.1/2.6

Steve Nash with Dirk.

2 time all-star and 2 times on the All-NBA team.

15.6/7.3/3.2
17.9/7.7/3.1
17.7/7.3/2.9
14.5/8.8/3.0

Terry wish he was as good as those players.

When did you start watching basketball? 5 years ago?
Why nikkas always gotta bring up Nash and Vanilla ass Finley to slight dirks accomplishment's. I dont see nikkas bringing up Carlos Boozer, Ricky Davis, and Big Z when Lebron's first years get mentioned, yet nikkas make excuses for him, cause truthfully they put up stats but weren't stars, just like Nash and Finley wasnt. It's a shame after his first couple of seasons Terry is the best player he's played with.

SN:It irks me when nikkas mention Nash and Finely, nikkas here try to act like they knew Dirk was gonna be a legend, and was instantly finals teams, I could think of 4-5 teams in that time period in the West seen as more legit than the Mavs. Was Nash 15 and 8 something special when C CLASS PG's like Sam Cassell could put that up in his sleep:comeon:

Meaningless stats mean nothing, whoever thinks Finley is a better player than Terry, and had more impact to the Mavs in comparison to their times there doesnt know shyt about basketball. Did Finley posses clutchness, lockdown defense when needed, and a general's leadership like Terry has shown time and time again.

ATL…overly
I say top 25 is fair...what Dirk has to do now is not fall off too much in his last few years, but he's definitely a top 25 caliber, 1st ballot HOF'er

And id definitely take him over KG. Just a vastly superior offensive player/Scorer and much better in the playoffs. For example
A.19.6 PPG, 11.1 Reb, 3.8 AST/2.5 TOV, .523TS%, 1.3 STL, 1.4 BLK

B:
19.7 PPG, 11.3 Reb, 2.3 AST,.509 TS%, 1.8 STL, 1.3 Blks

A is Kevin Garnett's career playoff numbers.
B is Dirk Nowitski's numbers in his worst playoff year ever 2007

you said juwan howard? are you out of your god damn mind? im not even going to respond to that one michael finley NO NO NO NO

youre horrible breh

Dude was nice.

Maybe one of the most underrated players from that era.

Had defense, hops, J, 3pt range, and could pass the rock a lil bit.

He'd get you 22 a game on really good efficiency.

Overall, he was 3x the player that Terry is.

Josh Howard was pretty good back then, to

Dirk didn't become the best player on the Mavs until '01-'02, his fourth year in the league and as a teammate of Finley.

Nash and Finley weren't stars? They have multiple all-star selections while they played with Dirk. :mindblown:

:why: oh :why: must nikkas downgrade teammates in order to hype certain people up? Oh yeah because when you subscribe to overly simple concepts like rings define greatness I guess you have to resort to even more ridiculous methods in order to maintain such a silly argument. :ohhh:

and finley wasnt good from 2001-2004

:stopitslime:

Finley averaged 21 ppg in 2000-01, 20 ppg in 2001-02, 19 ppg in 2002-03 and 18 ppg in 2003-04. Jason Terry never averaged 20 ppg in Dallas, Finley did it 5 times

The Mavs were contenders that entire run of Dirk/Nash/Finley they just ran into and lost to better teams..

Jason Terry was not better than Michael Finley. Yeah Terry got a title in Dallas but Finley was the better player
