Seriously, Mike Brown didn't even have a summer camp because of the lockout. So pretty much you put a new coach in situation where he can not input much of things he wants because of timing and doesn't have connections with the personnel. They should have gave him last season, or hire Phil.

You also have to remember the incredible amount of hype that Lakers team got. Lost every game in the preseason, lost a shyt ton of games early on to teams they should've easily beat. People were in extreme panic mode.
