i go back and forth between these 2 albums, sometimes i think the chronic is better and sometimes i think doggystyle is better; but song for song, what album do you think is better? :jbhmm:

this is true however just because the chronic was the foundation and came 1st, doesn't mean doggystyle can't be superior to it. least that's what i think :manny:

True statement. I just used that as my determining factor since I couldn't choose :sadcam: these albums are damn near dead even in my book

Doggystyle is the best rap album of all time to me, but maybe that will change as time goes on

Don't get me wrong, the Chronic is a legendary album but the production on it is super basic if you want to be 100% honest.

True. the beats on The Chronic are a bit more blocky and sound like 1992. Whereas Doggystyle is more refined and sounds like it could have been made up to four years after it actually came out.

I feel this exact same way about Ready to Die vs Life After Death.

I feel this exact same way about Ready to Die vs Life After Death.

Well....Parliament made the beats on The Chronic in the 70s really....that's why it sounds dated a bit. He just looped the samples very simply.
