i go back and forth between these 2 albums, sometimes i think the chronic is better and sometimes i think doggystyle is better; but song for song, what album do you think is better?

Doggystyle is the best rap album of all time to me, but maybe that will change as time goes on

Doggystyle is the better album. Better raps and better production.

Don't get me wrong, the Chronic is a legendary album but the production on it is super basic if you want to be 100% honest.

True. the beats on The Chronic are a bit more blocky and sound like 1992. Whereas Doggystyle is more refined and sounds like it could have been made up to four years after it actually came out.

I feel this exact same way about Ready to Die vs Life After Death.

Well....Parliament made the beats on The Chronic in the 70s really....that's why it sounds dated a bit. He just looped the samples very simply.
