I have to go with Doogystyle. The beats on that shyt are still amazing. Still remember when this dropped and how everyone was rockin Cool Water.I still bump The Shiznit and G'z Up Hoes Down.
I still have the original pressed copy from 93.
True. the beats on The Chronic are a bit more blocky and sound like 1992. Whereas Doggystyle is more refined and sounds like it could have been made up to four years after it actually came out.
I feel this exact same way about Ready to Die vs Life After Death.
8 outta 10 times im pickin the chronic.
But for a label to drop 2 albums like these is just
Quality wise, they're equal.
But the climate of the chronic coupled with soundbites from the LA riots where nikkaz were fed up was just![]()
I believe they're pretty much on the same level , but they're really both DOC albums lowkey
Stop. It was not rushed, doesnt sound rushed and Doggystyle was made in two weeks. I like doggystyle more too but you trippinthe chronic was rush to shyt on eazy...
it was good but that shyt was rushed..
dpggystyle..is what the chronic should have sounded like
dre has 2 perfect albums that he produced...
no one can do it better and doggystyle..
the clarity on both of those are 2ndii none
only 2 albums i think can go track for track sound wise with either of those..
are safe n sound n rhythmalism
if u a future engineer or mixer..u wanna look into doggystyle n no one can do it better from dre
n rhythmalism n safe n sound 4 quik
to learn to master the highs n lows n how to pan perfectly
I'll add nikkaz4life to that list too. Very slept on but I think it was overall one of Dre's best produced albums ever.the chronic was rush to shyt on eazy...
