It's easy to criticise draft picks from previous years. You just can't tell for sure how prospects will turn out in the pro level. Before shytting on the teams who had bad picks, try to read pre-draft scouting reports of the players they drafted.
have you read a post in this thread :what:

well a couple of posts in this thread based it off pre-draft predictions.

You obviously missed that.
Am I supposed to read and reply to each post in this thread to make my point? I'm only focusing on the main premise of this thread, which is about the Cavs "terrible" drafting. Some posters acting like they knew all along how each prospect would pan out, which I doubt.

Valanciunas was a 20 year old Euro 220lb big man (need I say more?)
Jamal Crawford had no real position and off-court problems
Amare was a highschool kid who relied on his athletic abilities and strength to score on smaller high school kids

While, Mihm was first team all-american and UT all-time leader in blocks, and 2nd in scoring and rebounds. Wagner was the second coming of AI only a couple of inches taller.

Scouting isn't as easy as some people here make it out to be.

The only reason the Cavs drafted Tristan Thompson is because he and Lebron James have the same agent. Chris Grant is convinced by Rich Paul that LBJ is coming back over the summer and he wanted a ear within the agency. It was politics more than anything.

Only Grant wanted Tristan. I believe most of the scouting department loved Klay Thompson and was urging Grant to select Klay.
