LMAO @ the affect Pap had on teenagers around that time. My thoughts on Papoose have followed the exact same trajectory as the threadstarter.

I remember when, as a 16 year old I heard this for the first time. I thought Papoose was Big L reincarnated and joined the legions of Pap stans on the IC. Listening back to this as a 24 year old I don't know wtf I was thinking.

'Zig-zag zigs involved weighing Zambian Zaires
Zodiac zone and Zulu's, Zion's zap a zillion zillionaires'

As whack as it was gotta give him props for trying to do something different. Seems like most rappers now oversaturate us with the same cookie cutter formula.

Well hell, maybe he should try cookie cutter, cause all these other bright ideas of his fall flat in audio form. It couldn't be any worse... or could it? :mindblown:

Zooma Zoom Zoom ZungaZengZungaZungaZeng Zoobilie Zoo!

:pacspit: Shut the fukk up... :laff:

Another terrible Papoose song that I used to like is Law library

'It's a court issued document with these things on it
This piece of paper has a name, it's called a warrant'

Dude actually thought he was dropping knowledge

:russ:

smh at my standards in those days

:noah::sadcam::wtb::usure::scusthov::rudy: and every other ridiculous face I can make... that's the worst thing about it. I can imagine him doin' this rhyme and Kay Slay sittin' there thinkin' it's hot, and a buncha smart dumb nikkas with 'em like :mindblown: over some shyt so corny. :russ: Damn man, Papoose is awful on so many levels.

The best thing from Papoose is probably not even a real track, just something Kay Slay took and mixed together.

Papoose tries too hard at times, he had the potential to drop something really good years ago.

Papoose - "Alphabetical Slaughter" - YouTube

My reaction back in Highschool: :krs: :krs: :krs:

I was Pap's biggest stan after the song.

Listening to that song 7 years later? :scusthov:

wtf was we on brehs? This nikka Papoose was just stringing words together in Alphabetical order, he didn't even have a point to it.

And the Kayslay intro is corny. Teaching grown ass man the Alphabet? :rudy: nikka got a 6x polka dot shirt

Real talk. Sophmore year, me and my nikka was the only dudes fukking with papoose. Every other day we run up to each other sharing songs we had downloaded and quoting verses.

Breh I remember my homie playing Law Library to my History teacher and she giving us that look like :rudy:.

I thought Papoose was a lyrical gawd :russ:
