I got inFamous free from PSN+ a while back, gift for the outage fiasco.

This was a game I shytted on without playing. Right after I beat inFamous I immediately bought inFamous 2.

Infamous 2 is free on +

I'm going to join, but I have a question about the cloud saving.

I used to game on my OG Phat PS3 before it started acting up/freezing. It still works, but I only use it for streaming. I have a Slim also, so when started gaming on the Slim I backed up my shyt from the older PS3 and threw it on the new one.

But... some games (LBP2 in particular) have the save data locked :aicmon:

So all the shyt I unlocked and customizations I had didn't transfer to the new joint. This was back in May... all the games I've played since then have been on the new PS3. So after you sign up for PS+ do you have the option on which data you want uploaded?

To answer your question, yes and no. For games that don't have funny style save system restrictions, you can choose which game file/s to upload and download between systems (albeit with a needless, stupid 24-hour wait period in between two different playstations), but for some of these games that do have those aforementioned funny style restrictions, you can run into multiple hiccups just the same. Overall, the cloud saving is def. a good feature to have, but it's definitely not a seamless function yet.

I think I'll just activate PS+ on my old PS3 and have it upload the saves to the cloud.

The only game that I know this is going to effect me to my knowledge is LBP2. That locked file shyt is dumb as hell. The game/system should be able to tell if you're putting it on your account.

Yeah, I agree. And it's obviously a game/developer/publisher dependent variable, so it's not really Sony's fault.

shyt is retarded tho. Ultimately, this shyt is just a game, so what good is it to have game file save copy restrictions at all is beyond me, as the most that can be done is a gamer can access parts of the game that is still free to access anyways. Who gives a fukk if another gamer needs cheat codes n shyt to see the end of a game or to get special shyt when it doesn't affect profits any. Even trophy/achievement cheats that may be possible from this is moot in that sense and could probably be prevented by other less restrictive means.

Sony been feeding gamers with PS+ and their selection of games are chock full of classics.

Hell they damn near giving away games for free now as their giving away the vita versions of Playstation all stars battle royale and Sly 4 free if you cop the PS3 version.

It sees each save individually so it will back up all saves pertaining to that game. I had my playstation crash and man i was :whew: when i realized i had all those saves in the cloud. I forgot i even signed up for playstation plus but the whole time, my playstation was turning on at night and making sure i had all my saves backed up and safely secured so friends wouldnt feel discouraged . Playstation, a true system for friends.

Its alot doper than I expected it to be.

I think when they gave everybody that free month it helped the cause.

If I had more time to play games I would have it for sure, but I've only bought one game this year and I think my hardcore gaming career is coming to an end so....
