Let’s Revisit This - For those who actually heard the album - was Beyonce's album truly a country album

Her album is not entirely country. It only has a few songs with a country feel. Has anyone actually listened to it? I say this as someone who has been a fan of Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child for a long time. There has been a lot of debate about it, but a lot of the discussion seems to come from people who have not even pressed play yet.

it aint for me but thats okay. i just dont like country music very much lol. good for her for trying something different. good art can be a challenge, for the artist or the viewer/listener. id like to see her try opera. she had that part in 'daughters' shes clearly capable of it

Not really it was more country pop but in all fairness most of these Millenials and Gen Z artist are not straight up country artists many of them mix with either rock, pop or hip-hop in their style.
