I hope Wemby leads the Spurs to a lot of championships. But LeBron has exceeded every expectation since he was a child and if you believe in ranking players (I don't anymore) LeBron is definitely among the best 3-5 to ever play in the NBA.
With as much hope as I have for Wemby, I wouldn't bet any money that he will eclipse LeBron's career. That's just asking a lot.

Yea, I don't think people objectively look at Lebron's career if you putting Wemby in these convos. Lebron's career is an extreme outlier in NBA history. From the teams he's been on, faced, and the changes in free agency that led to super teams that eventually led to more parity (which may hurt Wemby winning 3+ rings).

bron is a floor general wemby role would overlap in some places with bosh & it would cancel out that lethal open floor attack running with flash.wade

When I watched Bron play in year 1 and year 2 I thought this dude is really good but I didn't think he would be all time great nor did he have an all time skill
When I watch Victor play I think to myself "damn this dude is legit one of the greatest defenders ever already"...
There is a 3 to 5 minute stretch in every game where it's impossible for the other team to score cause Victor either blocks the shot, get's a steal, scares the other team so bad they turn it over themselves, or he snatches rebounds off the rim FIBA style.
I'm taking year 2 Wemby over year 2 Bron easy, his defense almost defies logic.
Last year off the floor the Spurs were bottom 7 in every category and on the floor they were a top 10 defense. It almost legit doesn't matter who the other 4 players on the court are, if they out there with Victor the defense is going to be elite.

Lebron in year 2 averaged 27/7/7 while in one of the toughest defensive eras in NBA history with a worse team.
Wemby has been good to great early, but they just aren’t really the same type of player

Any LeBron discussion is gonna be slanted because we've watched him be elite/All-NBA for two straight decades. We'll probably never see that again, even from Wemby.
But if both were in the same draft, Wemby would be the first pick over LeBron or anybody else because of his size.

Why are you guys comparing them? bron has been one of the most durable athletes in the history of the nba. Wemby has already had one scare and at his height it wont be the last.
