Moving goalposts refers to when you change YOUR OWN ARGUMENT

YOu changed YOUR argument when I mentioned Timmy :JJ:

the idea is, you can move your debate opponents goalposts BUT NOT YOUR OWN.
I never had any argument though. I've just been spitting facts, and then, because you don't like it, you start rambling about shyt that has nothing to do with lebrons 19 finals losses.

You said Kobe was better than Lebron because he has a better Finals win percentage. That's a premise (or goalpost). When I mentioned Timmy, you changed your premise, moved your goalpost.

It's funny, @NYC Rebel popularized the criticism of "moving goalposts", then everybody else starting trying to make the same argument without understanding how it actually works.

And Kobe can't dream of making 5 straight Finals

Nor going 2-3 over a span of 5 NBA Finals:smugbiden:

And Lebron and Timmy can't dream of losing a series after being up 3-1

Just like they cant dream of leading a team without 1 other current/ future/former All-Star player in the starting lineup to the playoffs like Kobe did in 2006:smugbiden:

L to Spurs

L to Mavericks
W to Thunder
W to Spurs*
L to Spurs
L to Warriors

How is that something to be proud of?

Yet Kobestans are saying Kobe's better than Duncan because he made 7 finals instead of 6, even though they won the same number.

I'm guessing you're not a real warriors fan otherwise you wouldn't be chalking this up as a win for them already.

Kobe is better cause he made more finals.

When they won the same.

Going to an ADDITIONAL finals is the tie breaker.

I'm only a Warrior fan 'til Kobe comes back next year to win ring #6 :ahh:

Serious question: Why does it matter if a player was an all-star after the fact? :dwillhuh:

Timmy's 3 finals MVP's are not the tie breaker? Or his better career? Or his multiple regular season MVP's?
