I agree with you. Right now is the time to stick with whatever you have.. But always be prepared for layoffs.

You're always going to work with people you don't care for. I'm not talking about bouncing because someone is annoying but if you feel like you can't advance any further then by all means start looking.
I'm glad we can agree on that point. I think "idiots" and "annoying" people are inescapable. "the fools are many and the wise are few" to quote a cliche. Also being a hater will just stress and frustrate you out IMO.

IF you got a job that you enjoy AAAAAAAAAAAANNND you live comfortably that not worth jeopardizing right now IMO.

in illinois, jobs now have to post the salary ranges when you apply for them by law.

I know at my job, if I look up a job in workday, it will show the pay grade, which in turn, tells you the pay range. so in theory, you can kinda figure out how much anyone makes if you know their pay grade.

at my job, I'm maybe 10K from the max for my pay grade. also, I have the shortest tenure of anyone on my team. if they made more than me, it can only be maybe like 10K more, and I'm not gonna trip about that honestly.

Keeping Payroll Data Confidential

Confidentiality in payroll matters is routine, expected and often legally mandated. But that doesn't mean confidentiality problems can't occasionally rise up. Your business needs to be aware of the rules governing payroll information and to take steps to protect employee and company data.

You just don't know what you're talking about. lol
