Pippen wasn't an elite scorer. He was barely cracking Top 30, if that, with his 16-19ppg. Remember, every team had a 20ppg scorer, and some had 2. Pippen was an elite on the ball defender, and could run the offense.

Now for Matrix, he's was one of the elite, if not the best, on-the-ball defender during the '00s. The fact you're not acknowledging him, shows you weren't paying attention. He was also the one they put on Jordan in the closing seconds of the '03 ASG.

Pippen lead that Bulls team to a nearly identical record the year after Jordan's first retirement and was ballin offensively, he didn't need to score a ton of points wit Jordan but from passin to shootin to takin it coast to coast he was crazy skilled. Matrix supposedly bein one of the best from his era on D don't mean nothin cause Pippen was one of the best defenders in history, Marion was nice but he ain't touchin that. He might not even be a hall of famer so it ain't just me not acknowledgin him, you said it yourself no one talks about him bein great like that includin his peers and former players/coaches. @ you mentionin him guardin a Jordan in the ASG, if thats one of the highlights of his resume then that further proves how silly it is to compare him to Pippen.
