Investigative Reports also had a little mafioso feel to it. Gold as well.
But I saw it as GZA rapping more from a picture painting view on the life of a drug dealer in some spots. The Linx album had the actual mafioso alter ego names on the back of the booklet (Nas Escobar, Lou Diamonds, Tony Stark, etc) and the theme of the album was 2 dudes trying to get out of the dope game. They had U-God getting killed on Knuckleheadz and getting replaced by Capp. I dunno. I see what you mean, but I think the theme of the drug dealing stuff was on damn near every joint on Linx.
They had the girlie joint with Ice Cream. Liquid Swords may not have any sex references at all. To me Liquid Swords was more of an extension/sequel to 36 Chambers with the Chess and Samurai/Kung Fu style, where Linx was sort of off in its own lane.
