He is a very good Trent Dilfer with some negro speed in him (not really, but you get where I was going with that)

Seattle fans swear the dude is worth 100mil :bryan:

I like what he can do, Doug Flutie type. I don't see him being a Drew Brees type (just the height) and so ultimately I see him as a less exciting Johnny Football :manny:
But fukk all that. To properly gauge how good he is, lets swap QB's

Its the Superbowl, Seattle vs Denver. Same game it was earlier this year
Only difference, *insert QB* instead of Russell Wilson
Whoever replies, insert your favorite teams QB and does Seattle still win the superbowl?

I expect most ppl to say yes, but I'm intrigued if anyone would say no :patrice:

Which QB would have lost that game if they had to start for whatever reason, any QB?

Russy's best play is his "evade the third down pass rush, create some time and throw a strike to the open WR for the first down." One of the best I've seen do that over the past few years. Kid will keep getting better on the conventional stats as well. He'll get paid his millions next year

Big Ben does the same thing and is highly regarded despite so, so what's wrong with Wilson doing the same, so long as he gets the same consistent results? Every defensive coordinator knows what Wilson is goin to do - but can't stop him. That's the mark of a great player. Peyton is the same way.

Only way he overrated is when ppl rank him over a Luck or Cam as far as young QB's go but he def not trent dilfer Russ is a great QB. Reminds me of Brees as far as what he can do at his height and accuracy.

Kaep is the overrated QB luck too but they dont get called out for being surrounding by talent or playing in a weak division.

shyt on black superbowl winning quarterback brehs. :mindblown:

Finally get a brother at quarterback in the ideal situation where the GM, coaches, team and city are 1000 percent behind him and all I've seen on this board is "he sucks" or "he's average"...SMH...

Yes he benefits from a great defense, smart coach and a running game. So fukking what.

He's only gone for 26-10 and 26-9 while completing 64% of his passes. Troy fukking Aikman never threw for more than 23 touchdowns in a season his entire career yet he's one of the GOATS. :aicmon:

His first year against Atlanta they were a minute away from pulling out one of the all-time great comebacks ever.

I agree with you ... Russell is that dude, you know you will get preparation, improvisation, a strong arm, and a steady presence... I'd have him on my team

Put things in perspective in that divisional playoff game against Atlanta they were down 27-7 going into the 4th. He only went 23-34 378 yards and 2 TD's :pachaha:

I'm probably gonna regret this, but I'll play

Trent Dilfer SB season stats (2000)
59.3% 12td 11int 6.65ypa 76.6 qb rating
Though this was not the entire year - 11 games

Russell Wilson SB season stats
63.1% 26 td 9 int 8.25 ypa :whew: 101.2 qb rating

If you compare career stats, its even worse. These qbs are nothing alike. And just because he didn't need to put Seattle on his back at the super bowl doesn't take anything away from him.

Tied peytons rookie passing td record(185 less attempts)
1 of only 3 qbs to finish first 2 seasons w/ over 100 qb rating
Most passing yards by a rookie in a playoff game - 385 yards

Also, in the last 2 seasons only 2 qbs have been over 100 rating both years
Peyton, Rodgers, Brees and Wilson

And the time will come when he has to put the team completely on his back and he will.

Lots of intelligent posters in this thread. Every single one of them failed to substitute Russy for the QB of there team of choice
Would Seattle still have won the title? Yes or NO.

Better yet, tell me the NFL QB you believe would have lost the superbowl for Seattle, I'll wait (Shout out to Ed "MadHomo" G for bookmarking random post to I guess complain :mjlol: )

I don't disagree with you, but he ain't no Andy Dalton :troll:

So now you trying to put him in the same class or a class below Peyton :laff:
