I'm glad I wasnt the only one who felt his commentary was horrible. For the first segment it made sense but after that it made Raw sound lamer than it already was. I wonder if he was out there alone as a test..if so, he failed

Matt Striker is the best active announcer in the biz right now, breh. He might be a total mark but he calls the action, knows every move by name and history, emphasizes and sells the in-ring psychology and story-telling and all around just does one helluva job.

Hell, we all love JR but Wrestle Kingdom 9 wouldn't have worked without Striker's knowledge of every wrestler, their move set and feud history to back up JR's calls.

I used to hate Striker's "trying too hard to be hip" references, but I enjoyed him at WK9 for sure.
