I think dude can ball and I wish him well, but I don't even think he was the most talented guy on his team. If Mike Moser didn't get hurt, Bennett doesn't get all those touches.

Top pick surprised me as well, but Cleveland can use him...

Exact point I've made to everyone who says he was a horrible 1st pick. Who was that much better than him that they should have been #1 . Several teams alos passed on Noel, Len, & Mclemore. This was a draft where there were 6-7 guys who were all on the same level. Can't complain whoever went #1 . Noel had been #1 in mocks for so long that people acted like it was an outrage for him to drop, but the reality is he weights 206 with a narrow frame & has a serious knee issue. That's your "lock" for #1 ? This was the ultimate "eye of the beholder" draft. All these guys had legit question marks & nobody really stood out above everyone else.

the funniest part of it all is that Bennett was clearly superior to noel all season, even before the injury.

aside from being tall, noel's whole selling point as the #1 pick was his energy, effort and "potential".

Noel's D game is :whoo: but he's far from an elite prospect

When you have the number one pick, your job is to max out on that pick as much as possible. McLemore looks to have the most potential to max out on the value of a number one pick. Either that, or trade that pick to build some depth. Drafting a potentially slightly better Paul Milsap is not getting the most value out of the first pick in the draft to me.

yeah but my point is 6 teams passed on Mclemore. Obviously he wasn't a no brainer # 1. You cant trash a team for not taking a guy at #1 who ended up going at 7. I agree Ben was the best prospect but hes far from an elite prospect. Like I said, it was an "eye of the beholder" draft. cavs felt Bennet was the best prospect & you really cant argue anyones significantly better.

Noel is overrated on D. Great shot blockers know you can block shots without jumping. Noel jumps at everything and exposes the backside of the defense with regards to rebounding as well as it gets him out of position. He is solid, but far from great as a shot blocker. He also needs refinement as an on ball post defender. He does not compare to Anthony Davis at all. Anthony Davis >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Noel. His frame doesn't look like the type that can add a lot of bulk so I doubt he ever gives you much on offense outside of running the floor.

I understand saying hes too aggressive, but he's still a really good defender. When its all said & done hes probably a Marcus Camby type.

Camby has always blocked shots without overcommitting himself. He would be able to show and recover on the pick and roll, but I would hesitate to call him a very good defender. I'd say he has potential to be, but not so much right now.
