I was there last year and my mans and his people basically said there's nothing else than Frisco that matters unless you wanna cop a key or something stupid. Oh yea we went to Berkley as well for some party with was turnt but that was it.

Now I'm combining that with the fav that I don't know any active rappers from the bay except Kreyshawn and Debbie.

Matter fact bay stopped using tha word function for decades, LA brought that back along with turnt up during tha jerk music era
:usure:

Black Saturday's and the sideshow were the function from the time I was in high school - post college, came home two years ago and I still heard high school kids talkin bout the function. Where were those decades that we stopped using the word we coined?

So mention some rappers or some cool places besides Frisco, Napa Valley and Silicon Valley?
Do you think motherfukkers go to the bay to visit Oakland :dead:.
Just cuz you don't come from another country/state to visit Oakland doesn't mean there isn't a ton of shyt outside SF. A lot of people visit NY and only go to Manhattan, but there is clearly life outside of and tons of shyt to do in the other boroughs.

Most people go to Brooklyn as well and during the summer there's multiple spots places go to like The Hamptons and those type of spots. However outside of that it's pretty dead, families, hoods and other shyt you don't need to see. And Manhattan is not a city, people who go to San Francisco obviously don't go to family residential areas, hoods and on; they go to where it's poppin. The marina, SoMa, the homo district or whatever the fukk.

My question was
1. Who are the rappers from the Bay?
2. Is San Francisco the spot cats are talking about when they are saying that it's popping in the bay? When cats say New York night life is crazy, they are not talking about some bar in Mount Vernon.

What's so hard about answering those ultra simple questions without completely unrelated answers or getting offended?

1st - no where did I call manhattan a city
2nd - what are you referring to as "popping"? Restaurants bars and daytime activities? Or hood fun, shootouts, and house parties? Different shyt is popping for different people. SF of course has the things you expect from a city with wealth, independent businesses, shopping, great restaurants and interesting bars, but the club scene has been dying on both the urban and mainstream front, SF has closed a lot of clubs, BART doesn't run past midnight so it's hard to go out there without risking a DUI if you don't live in the city, they're not budging on the 2am close, etc. if you're rich or fall into that 22-35 white/Asian well educated and well paid crowd, SF is your city.

If you're more lowkey and actually from the bay but fit the above description, you probably like Oakland/Berkeley. If you're black oakland is still, barely, the place you'll find people similar to you and clubs that play "urban" music. I personally think the bay falls way behind other major cities in the states as far as nightlife and festivals, so I'm not the best to judge that side

If you want to be outdoors, every other part of the bay is better than SF since they are generally warmer.

SF and San Jose have the best shopping

In regards to rap, back in the day it was Oakland, SF, and Vallejo (e-40, Mac mall, sic wid it) that defined our rap scene. Right now it's mostly Oakland and Richmond (and of course e-40). Then you have green day who held in down in alt/punk. Soul/funk/r&b was Oakland.

Don't know what else you want, no Oakland isn't full of tourist attractions, but for a young black person it's a better quality of life than SF.

This was all I was asking and people start negging, getting mad as fukk and on.
I went to SF once but that was just to fukk with some of my people who study out there so I'm quite ignorant to what's going on nowadays as far as hiphop, clubbing, leisure etc goes
