History? But there is plenty of history showing the exact opposite as well.

So I'll ask again, where is the physiological, philosophical, psychological, biological or neurological evidence that this is objective human behavior?

I keep asking for this but no one can supply it. Almost seems like bullshyt people say or something.

I guess I haven't been following it that closely so are the owners a bunch of crooks or is it incompetence?

and I don't think any sort of regulation would of stopped this. Ponzi schemes happen all the time in so called "regulated" financial systems. I think it's more of a function of the infrastructure being so young.
Not sure yet and I agree, but I find it all kinda suspicious they shut down like that and I think we're going to hear more as it develops.

it's more a theory than anything.
Based on the fact that all things, and by things i mean systems of governance, commerce, anytime there is competition; humans tend to try to do what they can to win/come out ahead. My idea is that it's part of who we are.

Nothing says self preservation like getting the most you can.

As for hard evidence based in science and not anecdotal evidence based on a review of history...i'll have to check to see if anyone has done any experimentation. I'd possibly look at studies on early child behavior (http://articles.latimes.com/2013/mar/20/science/la-sci-toddlers-sharing-20130321)
I'd maybe even look at (http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-dolphin-divide/201309/why-do-we-lie )

Which basically outlines why we lie, i'd point to this as proof that it is in our nature to do so.

But overall this is just me waxing philosophically. What proof do you have to the contrary?

I don't. I don't think greed or altruism are inherent objective human qualities. There is plenty of studies, historical records and benefits of and for altruistic actions by humans of all ages.

Thus, if it is a matter of subjectivity, why do we hold in high esteem the qualities and actions which benefit a smaller group of individuals? It seems like conditioning by the very system which has the most to lose from a shift of subjective ideology. We're talking about something very important too, resources to maintain living. It's heavily disproportionate. Thus, when I ask you and others for evidence, it's because you guys are usually making some claim about the human condition that cannot possibly be true in an objective sense.

Catch what I'm saying?

I would say neither greed no altruism are inherent either, I would say what others have said time and again and that is that survival is king. Greed and altruism IMHO are both byproducts of survival. When someone steals it's for survival, when someone gives it to is also for survival.

I can point to countless acts of kindness, but in terms of history and governance the common thread tends to be corruption or b*stardization of a good idea intending on benefiting many into something that benefits a few.

I showed you were scientist have basically shown that in children as well as primates our base instinct is self preservation. If that be true then all actions are based on the idea of doing what's best for yourself (sometimes it's also doing something that's best for someone else).

All human actions are based on reason, even giving. That reason is USUALLY rooted in some type of self service (hell even Christians give form their heart to be better people so they can get into heaven.)

Point being that all human actions (even a mother dying for her children) are rooted in self preservation (or protection of genetic material for future generations as in the case of the "selfless" mother)

:manny:

it does explain a lot...
