Lets Talk about DLC

Some game franchises and companies do DLC right. After the game comes out they keep working and release new game changing DLC packs that make you enjoy the game even more. Then you have these shady hustling companies holding back features just to rape your pockets later.

What games have yall found with the best/worst DLC in your opinion?

I haven't kept up with current gen games the last DLC bs I saw was with Max Payne 3 where people could basically Buy their way to victory. Body armor/Weapons upgrade DLC if the other team paid and you didn't you were getting Wiped out with grenade launchers and new assault rifles.

I like Dynasty Warriors 8 XL/ Warriors Orochi 3 DLC because it adds new stages adding alot more to characters stories.

Best case scenario is for a game to get Game Of The Year Edition which has all DLC included for that low low. They did GOTY for Batman Asylum/Arkham City.

RPGs have good dlc

Dragon age, fallout, elder scrolls (minus the horse armor..., Witcher (let's hope), etc.

I don't mind DLC at all. I'm all for it if it makes the game even better and adds new stuff. As always, you'll find a segment of the gaming populace claiming "X" dev is holding things back for $$$$ which strikes me as odd because often times announcement of a DLC before launch doesn't mean the DLC is finished, it's like you know they plan they're future for the game and announce what they're going to do.

Day 1 DLC is disgusting imo. shyt like Mass Effect 3's day one DLC shyt was just a no no.

DLC that comes out afterwards like say Dark Souls DLC, TLOU's Left Behind etc.

I'm fine with actual add-on DLC, but devs need to get the fukk out with that "it's already in the game, pay to unlock it" bullshyt. I think the only DLC I've ever bought was The Missing Link for Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Left Behind for The Last Of Us.

I think it's one of the worst thing to happen to console gaming. When it isn't free it's almost always a poor value for the money it cost and even worse is when they give it away free a year later in the inevitable game of the year edition.

My favorite dlc from last gen was the undead nightmare dlc from Red Dead Redemption

Fallout 3's Point Lookout and the New Vegas DLC's were pretty legit

Fighting genre dlc is the worse, 4.99 for a t shirt, and charging you for colors. Prices skyrocket when the perveted shyt drops, all the virgins come out and buy that shyt day 1 full price.

Hard to remember what dlc was worth it on the 360.

I remember dlc on the xbox was worth it tho.

I also remember dlc being free on the Sega dreamcast.

DLC can be good, if done right.

DLC like The Episodes From Liberty City, Left Behind, Atorias of the Abyss and Undead Nightmare are good.

shyt like horse armor, %90 of Evolve, season passes in general and selling true endings to games are.

Basically, I want more DLC akin to expansion packs rather than cosmetic stuff or cut content that should have just been in the game in the first place.

GTA came through slowly but surely

TF2's model was perfect when I was played. Maps were free and you paid for everything else. I just hate when maps split the community. I see some consoles games like Halo 5 and Rainbow Six Siege making maps free now. And regular content patches need to make a big come back, it's playing like a brand new game every 3 months.
