Meh... i think it's an issue in their upbringing, really. They seen people, parents do it often so they think it's okay and normal to do so.

I may ask a coworker to borrow $1 to use in the vending machine here and there but i make sure i pay them back. I'm anal about that.

Last time i asked someone to borrow money was 2 years ago when lost my wallet and my car broke down. Basically i was without a car AND without my ATM card AND on top of that I lost my ID so i could not go to a bank and make a withdrawls.
Talk about a double whammy (sp)
I texted this chick i was fukking asking her to loan me some cash and id give her a check and she could cash it immediately. But i didnt even have to get it from her because another friend of mine loaned me her car for the weekend and GAVE me cash to hold me up until i went and got my new ID and debit cards

Its easier to say no the second time if you say no the first, so I always say no. I don't loan money, if I feel you need it and I feel like you need it too I'd rather just gift you the money....but only after making it clear you can never ask me again. I offer to pay the bill directly to whoever they owe (i.e. pay the light bill/phone bill/etc directly to the company). It's funny how the same person who desperately needs your help never manages to get back with the info.

Lost a good friend to this bull... always the type to borrow money and pay after he said he would and in installments and shyt

I would ask him for the money back and the response was "I bought you drinks at the club, remember" I never asked for that shyt and I know you got hookups at the club

bailed him out of jail (it was around Christmas and his moms was calling me)... spent $1500 as he was on the phone talking about he was gonna pay me as soon as he got out... never saw a dime.

Learned my lesson though... from now on the answer is if anybody asks me to hold something

I got a friend like that. He never asks for anything ridiculous, so I deal. If I have it and feel like giving it to him, he got it. If I don't, I don't give it to him.

usually ill look out for my friends if they really need it cuz sometimes ill be in that position but i did have to learn who to give to and who you have to semicheck up about your money or else they would just keep doing the same thing. but i never understood not paying someone back I hate the feeling of owing anybody money especially another man

Only helped out my close homegirl who's lights was about to be cut off. I paid the electric company directly to get it back on for her. Didn't give her the cash.
Outside of that situation, I don't loan friends money, most of my people are pretty good with managing their money, or their pride won't let them ask

I lost my job and was out of work for 3 months and so called friends wouldn't even let me have 20 bucks when I used to give them money...

I got back on my feet and I see them today trying to hollar at me and just ignore them..
