Never capitalized off of it. He was doing free promo for Mitchell & Ness and New Era. He should've put himself in a position to be a owner of something after all these years. You don't look at this dude, with a 20 year old haircut, hipster clothes and think "Damn, besides this nikka calling himself Fabulous on records, he never really ended up owning anything or making any power moves". Loso got longevity which I applaud him on, but what else did he really accomplish? His legacy is DOPE lyricist early on, but never made that consensus classic. He's a disappointment
what the fukk...Look at who was popping in the early 2000s. He out lived 50 cent, nelly, ludacris, lil jon, etc.... dude have a smash out right now and had one last summer. fukk are you talkin about. he released his best work last year. Everybody bumped soul tape 2 family. Loso way was bumped hard....

:bryan:You all really set Fab up for failure with this grandiose expectations of classic albums and KONY status. Since when? I'm a old head so I remember 98ish when he was seen as a Ma$e clone/Clues little guy. He was never in those KONY discussions like Jay, Nas, Kiss, etc. Sh*t, you'd even hear Cam'ron, Prodigy, and Fat Joe in those debates before you ever heard Fab's name. I'd say the homey overachieved. I never would have thought his mixtape rapper name spellng ass would still be talked about almost 15 years after his introduction.

For what its worth I thought Loso's way was slept on and his 2 soul tapes were excellent. Made me start checking for him again.

What does Fab own?
What power moves has/is Fab making?

I already saluted him on longevity. But lets keep it reality: Fab's career is in its twilight, he should be the owner of something or running something of note at this point. He's NOT doing that. And if he's never going to be a business man or owner, at least surround yourself with business savvy people so that you can focus on making a classic album. He hasn't done that yet, I know you a fan boy of his, but keep it real breh

Why does he need to make power move??? Dude is rich enjoying life. Fab had a clothing line and a label. He put paul cain on. Paul cain and fab boys all push high end cars. Sop the fukkery. Lets talk about the music. Fab bodies nikka on their shyt

Paul Cain is a non factor. Fab's clothing line, which should've been an EASY move for him considering he was a trendsetter with the throwbacks, faded away several years ago. He's not doing nothing outside of dropping lackluster, mediocre records. And you think I dislike Fab, I'm actually a fan, but he's been disappointing. Real fans can admit when they're favorite artists have fallen off especially when they're not pushing themselves to make better music or do something game changing

If, fab could actually advance and improve his mic presence and ability to create convincability through accurrate vocal tonality.
more people would connect with his actual music.

That is fab's weakness and he has never addressed this.

Gospel truth right here....Fab sounding like a 16 yr old rappin and his lazy delivery is one of the biggest tragedys in hiphop to me as a fan:ohlawd:,...his lack of voice and mic presence I think would be just fine for this era but in the era he came up in those are weaknesses that definitly held him back as an emcee...he's just too "old news" to be top dog in a era he wuz born for:blessed:...fab would kill this shyt if he debut today instead of the 90's lol

He's always been great for the lyrical display though, not sure why dudes had higher expectations after Breathe tho:rudy:...Fab had songs and flows harder than that shyt before that dropped, the beat and song wuz crazy but it wuznt no DIFFERENT Fab....some of y'all give Fab unfair hate becuz of YOUR expectations...what ever made him appear to be a great artist?I think a Diddy could've took a nikka like Fab to the much greater level as a great producer...but in his own right Fabs never been a great artist and is a mixtape rapper who imo beat the odds....he's just recently learning to be a better artist by staying in his skillset and knowin when to not use a punchline sumtimes just bcuz.

I think he had the career he wuz supposed to have and is a legend, but I do see a lack of appreciation for the consistency, wordplay a lot of yalls favorites wuz checkin for and flippin...its always "bu bu but his albums are weak but his mixtapes are great"....is that so bad?its only bad if u overated his skillset and expected him to exceed to be a great music ARTIST with absolutley zero proof....Jada get love and he's 10 times the failure when u look at what he SHOULDA been...came up under musical nikkas, great artist and great producers in both Badboy and Ruff Ryders....Styles P in your own camp is a great artist, and Sheek for havin a much lower skillset managed to put out solid cohesive material on his first solo.

I see Fab as a miracle when u look at all the dudes like him and who tried to clone em on the mixtape scene whe he wuz poppin who became absolute shyt, fell off and had no careers once the punchline shyt dried up...fab stayed consistent and advanced his wordplay

Rohigiddy is RBK from :hamster: a well known Fab stan who rented a luxurious car to be next to him. Fab is nice and he could've been in the top five. I followed him since clue tapes and I'm not talking about the Professional series or no Cd's...Tapes! He can spit street and do commercial songs but something got lost in the way.

Great mixtapes disappointing albums. Basically jadakiss but worse

Not quite sure how to feel about this right here :patrice:
The comparison is great, but is Kiss's disco really better than Fab's? Idk; I'd revisit Fab's albums before Kiss's :manny:

if fab ramped up, his delivery.
instead of dumbing down his technical base from four to six or more syllables.
down to the standard two to three, he rocks with on his new just fit in steez.
fab, could have easily garnered way more as an artist across the board.
like literally,...
fab has INCREDIBLE talent,...
yet, since he never had to struggle as a draw.
he never needed to do more.
he was the mtv new gen relaunch rapper.
so, he never had to put in the work other emcees with flaws in their skillset had to, to permeate.
I really think if his timing was different and he was not the mtv darling for the American flag motif vid.
he would have put in the work.
it is obvious he has talent and was supremely dedicated to the art.
yet, when he never ramped up.
it hurt him from being what he could have ultimately become.

Fabolous is the most accomplished mixtape rapper of all-time.

...and that should tell you why it's not worth it to be a rapper known for mixtapes.
