It was a whole different era

Me and my friends would get on our bikes and ride like 20 miles away.... we used to ride to JFK and back Or ride out deep into Long Island and back

No GPS, no cell phones no nothing.... I don't know if I could give my kids that kind of freedom I used to wake up, tell my mom "going outside" and disappear for like 12 hours

Freeze tag, foursquare, hide n seek, capture the flag (at school) but the basketball games that went on til night, ragged ass hoop on the garage, just ricocheting into the neighborhood, til we had to all go inside and eat, football in the middle of the street, your boys always ending up losing their temper on each other, and yeah the all time QB was classic....All the kids in the neighborhood makeshift ragtag teams, sometimes uneven as fukk, but you played anyway.....Every one eating dinner at eachother houses, even schoolnights and weekdays, I was that kid who stayed at my friends houses for days, I hated home.

From toy guns and playing bank robbers, hitman, kidnappers, we went to the air soft pellet guns, we had an arsenal of toy guns copped form the swap meet, rifles, pistols, AR-15's, H&K MP5, I was a gun fanatic as a kid, I read book after book about weapons and fighting, so we eventually had the pellet guns, rifles, shotguns, pistols, wearing ski masks and camo running around the house and yard at night, shooting each other.....My two homies always ended up getting into it, shot one in the face, right above the eye, so he came up behind him later and shot him point blank in the ear...Someone running into the glass door and knocking themselves out everytime lol....

I miss my old neighborhood, (Puff) I never thought it woulda been like this.... ( Puff )
