Obviously the kid wanted a large body count he was getting guns regardless

but if he stole them from his mom, he pretty much got them the easiest way possible. it seems a stretch to assume he would have got them some other (much more difficult) way. maybe he would have tried, but got discouraged, or even busted

not to mention, just him knowing the guns were there, easily accessible in the house, could have helped him come up with this 'plan'. in other words, if he didn't have easy access to guns, he may not have ever even really thought to do all this (that's all pure conjecture of course)

edit: I know that was the case when I was a youngster at my friend's house where I knew his pops had guns. we knew they were there, we wanted to shoot them, and we did

This is the wrong place to have this debate since this is a rap board and probably half of u think you're real gangstas and owning guns is cool but...

There's over 10,000 gun related deaths each year in the U.S. ban guns and u easily cut that in half. They need STRICT laws, even if you're a saint and never committed a crime, u get caught with a gun u get a MINIMUM 20 year sentence. If his mother didn't have those guns all of those kids would still be alive today.

So do you think it was worth it for his mom to have those guns to protect her family? Sadly this is what happens more than the guns actualy being used to protect someone, they are usualy used to kill the wrong person.

If she had some non lethal family protectors her family and 28 other people would still be alive right now.

I never said they should be banned. In this case she had at least two hand guns and an assault rifle. No one needs a entire arsenal to protect their home. And for reasons I have already thoroughly explained, guns aren't even the best protection you can have for the home. I wouldn't say it's a "necessary" evil either, but that's debatable

Criminals are going to have guns REGARDLESS, they have nothing to lose.
Why take the guns away from regular people who may need them in that scenario?

Somebodies gotta die....should it be the criminal who is in a place he doesnt belong/ruining society, or the man wanting to protect his wife and kids? Who would you rather exist in society?

This is where the issue comes in, and no matter how anti-gun you are, you cannot argue that point.

If someone wants to kill you they will. If they want to kill your family they will. Probably your family first in front of you. Are you always with your family? A lot of people have guns and they still end up laying in a pool of piss.

You're not going to save your family. You're not going to save yourself.

Deal with it.

They stop producing and selling guns and ammunition half the battle is over.
The rest can be done with economic incentives and fines.

More innocent people die because guns are legal. U ban guns and less innocent people die because of guns. Not all criminals will have guns regardless, few will but not as many. It will take guns out of the hands of many criminals as well.

This is a really hard concept for most people.
