Only thing Eminem did after Pac died was become the next beloved rapper. He aint done shyt to bring the West back. West was already there and popping.

:childplease:

Was Eminem a great look for Dr Dre, Aftermath and Interscope? Yes but Eminem always repped Detriot and didn't make Westcoast type music. SSLP was a good lyrical effort but nothing from that album sounds like Dr Dre's work prior. Now if you would've said the Chronic 2001 or The Last Meal I would've understood but not SSLP. :rudy:

:wtf:

You take Eminem off of 2001 and its still a west coast classic.

You guys forget the album was hyped off of Dre and Snoop reuniting for Still D.R.E.? This was well before most peeps even knew eminem would be on the album. That collaboration alone propelled the album, not Eminem.

You nikkas just pulling randoms opinions out ya asses.

Honestly, you're bringing up accolades frm the past about eminem.

wtf is happening now? hes trying to revive a cac fraud wit a hatchet who now likes to wear clothes shes never even thought about wearing EVER prior bc she was an emo who took dull knives to her arms for inspiration to write music. :comeon:
then she gets a hoodie and a studio session for dre 2 yrs ago, and shes what she is now. what a fraud.
thats like beyonce going bollywood and learning punjabi in 2011.
smh at the poser quality in this girl.
fukking fraud who looks older and is only 26.

Your missing the point. Without tracks such as "guilty conscience" or "my name is" there wouldn't have been that huge hype for a new dre album. Em did a lot for 2001,I'm sure he wrote verses for dre.

The fact is without the 2 white boys in em and storch dre prob wouldn't have dropped a classic :umad:

I'm perfectly fine giving Storch credit bcuz Still Dre was :blessed:...don't see what that had to do with Eminem?

This wasn't no damn Chronic situation where folks just bought the album to hear Eminem like alotve people bought the Chronic to hear Snoop....that's how the threadstarter talkin.

All I will say Eminems success would've allowed for Dre to be able to put on more West Coast artist and have more leverage than he did before undoubtedly at the label but he didn't really jump on that right away, and matter fact signed a bunch of washed up east coast artist:wtb:...But every big mainstream artist since Pac has come by way of Dre cosign from Game to Kendrick....but before Eminem he cosigned Snoop...hard to give Eminem so much credit for something Dre had already done with the help of other nikkas multiple times before Eminem was ever heard of.

Dre proved he can do it multiple times before eminem and after eminem...if Eminem so good at reviving something how come he couldn't revive his OWN city of Detroit when he tried to put Detroit artist on?oh cuz this thread is bullshyt?

Planet of Hip Hop
Eminem revitalized West-Coast hip-hop post-Tupac. Period. It follows a simple chain of events.

Tupac dies. Death Row falls apart. Dr. Dre's Aftermath label is shaping up to be a bust. Snoop Dogg's career is facing downward, and the focus of hip-hop shifts back the East Coast.

Dre signs Eminem in 1998 and suddenly his career is back on track. SSLP drops to widespread commercial success. Building off the fresh buzz of his latest recruit, Dre releases 2001, helping to bring west-coast hip hop back to the forefront of rap and keep alive the careers of Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg among others.

Dre then went on to sign Game and Kendrick, two of the biggest west-coast hip hop artists of the last decade.

Boom.

:takedat:

if it wasnt for eminem aftermath would have folded and the west would have been even more:flabbynsick: so i see what your saying. but honestly cali hip hop history always been built on nikkas from other places making cali hot....from d.o.c. to pac n the outlawz to the list goes on:manny:
