Is you high? :childplease: Yeah I'm high :blessed:

One of the things about the trap/drill subgenre is that the understated/muted/mellow/ambient sounding beats are almost ALWAYS better than the loud/boisterous/overproduced/cookie cutter club joints. This isn't a mega dope beat per se, but as far as the trap subgenre goes, it's one of the best. And the song itself is dope & fits perfectly over the production.

Plus Push is on it :ahh:

its funny b/c louie was 'that nikka' back in 2011. I thought he would be the first to really blow up but i guess not :yeshrug:

He never created "that" single to get him out there on a mainstream level. He killed his verse on Yeezus but it wasn't flamboyant enough to make a casual listener check for him. Kind of sad. I still don't see why someone like Ross would sign Trel over Louie though but they are very similar as far as squandered buzz.

This song has ZERO crossover/mainstream potential though. Just very good YouTube, internet, strip & local club potential. That's what you/artists like Louie gotta understand.

I'm not saying the kid gotta step outta his comfort zone and do some corny ass commercial shyt to blow or get execs wanting to get behind him, but a song where the chorus is literally: "Bad lil bytch, met shorty in the A...She be fukkIN all night, POPPIN PILLS ERR DAY............MY HOES THEY DO DRUGS"...

This just isn't gonna translate to radio (which subsequently opens the doors for new listeners, promotion, marketing, etc) well at all. The whole damn chorus would be changed up, censored, etc, and the same can be said for almost the entire remainder of the song. You don't have to make a RADIO HIT to get it played on the radio. But your "hit" (what'll gain you mainstream success) has to be RADIO PLAYABLE without compromising too much of the original lyrics/meaning. That's what this song fails to do.

I wanna see a nikka like Louie blow just as bad as you do, but the sad thing is, cats like this will keep on making the same type of music, and ignoring the formula when it's proven it's just not gonna work in todays day & age, unless you're talented by leaps and bounds ahead of most other upcoming rappers.
