Or he spent his Junior year playing with plantar faciatis and his Senior year playing the 2 guard against bigger guards. He's a point guard forced to play outta position on offense and defense. The Ingram whiff by UNC put them in a bad spot, just like Tyus leaving put Dook in a bad spot without a point guard and had to convince Thornton to reclassify. He had to adjust his game based on circumstance and all we found out was that he's not a shooting guard. You sound like you're stat watching instead of looking at this in context. You tell me how well would you shoot if you're the only shooting threat teams game plan for? He spent his Sophomore and Junior year as literally the only person in a Carolina jersey that teams respected past 15 feet. The kid can shoot and playing point where he's not the only one being game planned for, I believe he can make a roster in the league.

the problem is you believing he's capable as an NBA PG when he's not. Everyone game planned against guys like hield and allen and look at their percentages.

There's only one Buddy Hield. If his numbers are the standard for anybody shooting the ball in college making it in the league, then nobody is qualified but him. I imagine the Allen you're speaking of is Grayson, and he's never walked into a game as the sole perimeter worry.....especially with the potential #1 or #2 player in the draft out there with him.

brandon wasn't brandon until ACC play, allen carried them all season. Paige had berry and jackson as perimeter threats at least for people capable of penetrating. Don't act like paige was out there on an island with scrubs just to fit your agenda. Out of all major conference players, allen had some of the greatest pressure to score as anyone.

Brandon wasn't Brandon till ACC play??? Haha....and yet you wanna act like Berry didn't turn the corner til the UVA game. Jackson shot 29% from 3 and I'M the one acting like someone was on an island to fit a narrative?? Brandon dropped 24 on Indy the first week in December and went on to score 23 plus the next 2 games afterwards. But now you wanna act like he didn't show up til ACC play?? Cut it out.

fair enough on brandon, but he definitely wasn't as consistent as he ended up being when it came to conference play. Regardless, the point is that you're acting like paige was playing with a bunch of scrubs all season when he clearly wasn't. No top player in the ACC had as much pressure to score for his team as allen did especially given how bad duke was on defense. Yet his percentages across the board are much better than paige's and on higher volume. Most efficient offensive player in the nation amongst ajor conference players (and may overall, I'd have to look it up). Point is that paige is not a NBA PG and way to small and frail to play off the ball in the NBA.

If Grayson Allen can get drafted, Paige should easily.

this is worse than apples and oranges. Allen clearly has a defined position/role at SG in the NBA and is a late lottery to early 20's talent. Paige will not be easily drafted as you say and will be lucky to be drafted at all.

Grayson Allen is a 6'4 shooting guard who can't shoot or dribble. He's undersized and he can't defend. He's not a first round pick which is why he's going back to school. If he wasn't white and at Duke he would be a second round pick at best.

do you watch the games with your eyes or with your ass? or is your duke hate just that deep that you can't see clearly at all?

:comeon: grayson is a 6'5" 205 lb SG which is clearly NBA size at that position. He is one of the best shooters in the nation especially with his feet set. Handles need work no doubt, but he was a low turnover player while having the ball in his hands the most and getting to the FT line at a high rate. He can clearly defend he's just over aggressive sometimes. Coach K also rode him into the ground for the 2nd half of the season in which he probably averaged 35-38 minutes. That amount of time on the floor will affect anyone's defense, especially when they're relied upon to do so much for their team offensively. And somehow this undersized, nonshooting, nondribbling SG put up 22 a game with the best offensive efficiency in the nation. :martin: Imagine what he will happen when his handle is tightened. He clearly is a first round pick this year in the 18-25 range and is going back to school b/c he loves it and will graduate in 3 years. He will be a first round pick next year with a chance to crack lottery. fukk outta here bytch and enjoy watching us rape the ACC next year.
