But the thread wasn't comparing two defender/spot up role players. It was comparing a role player to a NBA all-star on the cusp of superstardom. Now had the thread been "Can Kawhi Leonard have more potential than Paul George/become better than Paul George/etc" I may not have had an issue, but a majority of ppl were legit comparing and emphatically stating Kawhi was better NOW. No way anybody with any bball pedigree should have made such an assertion. I can't take many opinions on here seriously.

I see Melo's ceiling tho. I can't really see George's yet. Not to say it's higher or lower, but he's not the offensive focus like Melo. Everywhere Melo has played, he's been the center of the offense. Paul George scores a lot for Indiana but it's still mainly a team effort there.

Paul George is now the better player. Saw it coming after the playoffs, wasn't sure if it was fools gold. It's not, he's better.

The way his passing and handle has improved is insane. I watch most of their games, George improvement has been more drastic than any player I've ever watched. He's becoming Pippen 2.0. He's become much more aggressive on the offensive end and has expanding his range to 3 point. He has everything.

I wouldn't go that far. A lot of players have made "that jump" before. Unless you come in the league gunning, any all-star player has to make that jump. I'm not gonna lie though, I didn't think he could up his scoring this much, especially with this kind of efficiency.

Are George's numbers suppose to be impressive? lol at these 20 somthing year old nikkas scoring less and having a lower per than a damn near 36 year old Paul Pierce.


These "second tier SFs" are trash to me. George is a career role player and nothing more.
