:shaq2: No, they wouldn't. Their opposition to affirmative action has always been grounded in preventing black people from having access to the same institutions they are freely admitted to. They don't care if beneficiaries of affirmative action are qualified. They simply do not want blacks to receive any assistance against the system of white supremacy that keeps them disenfranchised and poor.
So now you're back to being some sort of pro black revolutionary now?

always been pro-black, breh. all of the "c00nish" opinions i've held on here are about my disgust with black people who've given up. the black underclass essentially has accepted the lie that they can't achieve anything, and they act out in a way to reinforce the stereotypes assigned to our people. and i feel that it hurts all of us, including the black middle class. i just want black people to comport themselves with pride and dignity in the face of white supremacy. stop the ratchet behavior. stop the senseless killings in our cities. start valuing education.:yeshrug:

Lot of valid points in this post. Anti-intellectualism within the African American community kills me! I simply don't get that.

black americans have been trained to think they're inferior. it's a calculated system of brainwashing and it is working.

Wouldn't say it's calculated and concerted effort , It's just the byproduct of years of systemic racism from long ago.

how can you think it isn't a calculated effort when you look at the media and there are hardly any positive black images shown? blacks are tap dancing sideshows for whites to chuckle at. you don't think that is deliberate?

Not really an argument for or against but there's a certain smugness directed towards black employees of companies (or so I've heard, from both sides).

"Oh look our new affirmative action hire is here" Heard people say they avoid black doctors and other professionals because what if they just got into law/medical/graduate school because they were black instead of being the best.

Really it's just more bullshyt racist reasoning but it is no less impactful to our brothers and sisters.
