jackson was :flabbynsick: at that point of his career but still an outstanding defensive effort
How many NBA player today guard players from inbound??

Now you got players rolling the ball on the floor knowing the defender won't even go near him till he cross half line

Scust

Mark Jackson was arguably the slowest and most unathletic point guard in the NBA at the time. If he did it to A.I it would be threadworthy.
It was a pretty special performance, Jackson was coming off 2 monster performances while eliminating the Knicks

Jackson was forced into 14 TO's in the opening 2 games

Pippen was picking him up full court and rotating to double, and getting back in Mark's face

kukoc dropped a few dimes. he had a sick touch pass to harper at around the 2:00 mark.
He had another sick backdoor lookaway to a cutting MJ late in the video, dude was a sick passer. "The Waiter" was a dope nickname for him

Mike was just giving them work in the 2nd half :wow:

then proceeded to drop 41 in game 2 :banderas:

Remember a year or two ago when dudes were mad at Avery Bradley for guarding them all the way up the floor?

Avery went on to tell the media that "It got to a point where he didn’t want to bring the ball up... That’s when I knew I was having an effect." And apparently this isn't the first time Bradley has frustrated his opponents. "I can tell (when they get frustrated). Sometimes they talk to me... They’ll say you can get back a little bit, you don’t have to pick me up all the time, and when they start talking to me like that, that’s when I know I’ve got them... Everybody says it to me – everybody. I just laugh. I might just look at them, I’m going to keep coming all of the time."

Today's NBA soft as shyt.

that pass by Kukoc at 2:32 :banderas:

the buckets MJ was getting around the 8 minute mark at his age :mindblown:

Pippen being everywhere on defense :wow:

GOAT team

i'm glad you made that statement about mike at the 8 min mark. this is the key difference between mike and kobe. the reason why mike was able to maintain such a high fg% is because pippen(and at this time kukoc) were both running point forward. meaning they were the ones that had the job of looking for teammates and running the offense. the moment mike touched the ball it was 100% about him scoring that ball. the only time he was to pass is if he really was in trouble. notice how quick he makes a decision to score on his defender(s). thats what gives him the advantage. also look at that old era defense, hand checking but no help behind the initial defense like today with that zone.

Kobe with the lakers always had two jobs. it was to be pippen and jordan. set up his teammates, run the offense, while also scoring at will. doing this means you have to Draw the double team to then swing the ball around. but doing this makes you shoot a lower fg% because you're inviting a double team without you being on the move. thats going to be very hard to beat. and this is not about assist numbers. assist numbers dont show you who was the floor general or the guy running the offense.
