Supposedly if the offensive player begins his drive in the lower third of the paint, that offsets any fouls due to being in the restricted circle. (which Hibbert always seems to be in) My issue isn't this verticality bullshyt (which he seems to be the only player in the league to get away with it), but some of these drives by Wade & Lebron started well outside of the paint.
