his per minute stats are much better than bron. bron's just played more minutes so far. also I'm not one to just base my opinions on stats. I've watched almost every Cavs game this year and almost every game Westbrook has played. no one who has watched both would say Bron is playing near the same level Russ is. even if the raw stats are similar.

But if you look beyond the stats you will also see Russy is on a team, in a system he has been in his entire career. LeBron just joined a brand new team that is still trying to feel itself out, he's the one in charge of putting it all together and making it work with himself, Kyrie and Love. And even with all that confusion, he's still putting up numbers among the top of the NBA, and very similar to what Westbrook is putting up now in his supposed GOAT season.

This is no knock on Russy.. he is playing his best ball right now and his stats are clearly better than anyone in the league since he came back, but you can't just flat out say he's playing better than LeBron. It's not that black and white when you look at the situations each is in.

Russ has been playing 32 mins since he came back... the overall minutes are a little skewed because he had that injury shortened 9 min game when he first got hurt, and he only played 24 mins his first game back.
Which is why if you take out that game he's averaging 28.8 ppg on 49.7% shooting, 7.1 assists, 6.4 rebounds on 31.7 minutes per game ..... in six less minutes than Bron. :heh:

look man. this has nothing to do with the Cavs. Bron just don't look like himself. beyond the numbers, all you have to do is watch. he does not look the same. he's playing an old man's game now rather than the freak athlete he used to be.

the freak athlete in the league is now Westbrook. he's simply on another level athletically than everyone else. to me its like comparing 2003 Kobe to 2010. numbers are kinda close and 2010 Kobe was still an elite player. but he wasn't the athlete he used to be. he lacked that pop that made him special. I see Bron vs. Westbrook like that. Bron is just too old now to dominate the way Westbrook does.

How's 10 games any different to you claiming what Davis has done over 22 games more dominant than any other player that's played 80+ games though?

Oh no doubt, it was just to prove a point that using PER as the sole argument for a player that's only played a quarter of a season shouldn't be used as the foundation for saying 'he's been the most dominant player in the last 20 years'.
It didn't take long for AD to be back at the top :sas2:
