Innovation and safetyI found bobby pins worked even better than the hangers though.Had to go in mommy's bathroom and snatch a couple of these.

I remember the day I found out my mom was stealing cable. I came home one day and the cable just stopped working.
I'm like "Mom you forgot the pay the cable bill."
"No, I didn't."
"Then why isn't the cable not working?"
"Well when we first moved in the apartment the cable was working when I tried the cord. I was wondering why they didn't cut it off sooner."
"Well you're gonna get the cable back right?"
"No"

Worst years of my life.![]()

@Kind Gentleman this reminds me of my childhood before my parents came up before the good life before we bought our first house and before the shops
And also short time I spent in Africa in summersI blocked it out of my memory cos most depressing time of my life.
In Africa having to walk an hour for everything, food water everything.
Waking up sleeping on sofa and a fukking huge African Bush cat rat just chilling there watching me on the sofa
Leaving food on table not finding it there cos rats had dragged it
The hunger
Waking up with sore toes cos rats were nibbling on my feet
No light in Africa having to use candles and lanterns.
Being neighbour hood baby sitter at 6. People leaving me with new born babies by myself no training nothing.
Sleeping outside on a matt stepping on what felt like a prawn shell turned out to be a fukking scorpion.
Having people rob us in Africa in our house making us all lie on floor guns every where
My parents sending my uncle money to buy us food, him spending it and letting us starve
When same uncle spent my school fees and I had to stay home for like 3 months
Lizards just walking around my home
Snakes, bush rats were an every day occurrence.
I could go on but just know age 6-8 where a fuvking struggle all cos the uncle who was meant to take care of us decided to embezzle the money instead.
2 years of struggle.
