Any coli brehs a part of the Nation of Gods & Earth? How did the teachings affect you?

I've always heard some sideways stuff until a homeboy from Brooklyn kinda put me onto the teachings and not just how the organization came about. After doing a little more independent research, this group is WAY more interesting to me that I was led to believe by the sleep southerners in Alabama.

I prefer the PimPism. The teachings, philosophies and way of life are for someone of my pedigree.

Its gonna be alot of cats hating on the nation in this thread if they get the chance, and there will be others who praise it too highly and make it to be something it is not. But if you take the lessons for what they are they can be highly valuable to you. Some nikkas in NY learned the lessons and use it as a badge to terrorize the block, but dont let those people dissuade you from learning my breh.

besides the made up pseudoscience a lot of their lessons are interesting and contain valid points, I did a lot of research into them when I was younger

I think people are more attracted to the intrigue and image of the NGE than the actual shyt they try to teach

the supreme alphabet is some more goofy shyt; a lot of their doctrine sounds like some shyt a nikka got drunk and made up on the spot one night, but there is definitely an appeal to their dogma and organization

Used to go to mosque #7 and The school (the same school where Nas said "Traditions started by the school not far from the Apollo)on 127th heavy in the 90's. NOI was basically like a frat with Farrakhan being the leader. All u needed was a pat down to get in. On the other hand, At the school you would get the 1 - 10s the first day you came and had to memorize them for when you came back. It was a "show ya worthy" type of introduction. Both of them would always encourage to come out to their meetings on sunday. When the Million Man March hit in 95 I saw a lot of 5% flocking towards that so I saw Farrakhan as the leader of it all. NOI was for the elders. The Nation Of Gods And Earths was more for the younger crowd. I got more closer with a few brothers from the NOI in terms of business. But once I went into the army I lost distance with a lot of them...They were anti-military and I was a teen on the move. NOi is cliquish...u either in or you not and u watching from the sidelines. They had a school for the kids which I thought was cool (They even were disciplining with hitting which was allowed). A few brothers would do the steak and take hustle but that Harlem rent and expensive menu shut that down. a few brothers were also doing the book store hustle which I got involved in for a few months. The biggest thing I remember in the 90's was the security guard contracts. It was weird because after the MMM they kept losing contracts to real official security companys. That NOI outsourcing didnt work without real updated tactical training that could compete with the other security guard companys. NOI was doing Hip Hop concert security heavy in the 90's, I was involved with some of that as well.( first time I ever heard of UniverSoul was when I did security for them when they were in Harlem 1996) I never joined the NOI or The Nation Of Gods And Earths nor have I ever done shahadah which I also must mention being that the NOI and the Nation of Gods are stepping stones to wanting to go to an actual Mosque. Haven't been to the mosque or the school since the early 2000's. Saw Farrakhan when he came to Harlem for Million Man March #7 in 2002(...Got to shake Judge mathis hand who might i add had the cleanest sharpest tailor made suit I had ever seen in my life)

OK...How did the teaching affect me...The Supreme Wisdom pretty much rattled my "teeange christian mind" to think outside of what I was taught growing up. Although Im not a member of the NOI or The Nation Of Gods And Earths....some of their beliefs have greatly influenced my own personal philosophy. The Supreme Wisdom introduced me to alternative thinking outside of what was programmed. Looking back a lot of the info was out of date and misinformed but very necccessary. The NOI was created in the 30's when Blackfolks were still getting hung. Elijah Muhammad was a genius because The Supreme Wisdom was to reprogram the Black mind in America from believing it was a slave and that the white man is his/her master to the belief that the original man is The Black man and that he/she is God and that the whiteman is actually his/her son. It was beautiful reverse psychology that was very necessary. Elijjah Muhammad had 1) an economic plan for Black people 2) psychological reprogramming that would uplift Black peoples minds and bodies 3) an organzation where such practices can be executed. Elijah Muhammad single handely at one point had an army of clean upright militant Black men all across America. The inspiration in that alone is one to tell ya grandkids.
