So Pac was the greates huh? :ehh:

Show me instances where Pac is utilizing great depth in his music while portrayin high technical skill (Complex wordplay, multis, well written metaphors, clever double/triple entendres, high level utilizing of poetic devices, etc.)

And lets not even get started on his lack of breath control :mjpls:

But please present to me the evidence that makes a case for Pac's GOAT contendership to anyone but the homotional, easily swayed, image obsessed individuals of his fanbase :mjpls:

2pac is versatile. He can be thugged out while sounding spiritual in the same damn time, he was capable of complex wordplay, he was capable of doing double entendre, he was capable of being socially conscious. All those songs I posted are proof of that. As an lyricist Pac can excel in certain categories. Every rapper that has touched a mic has excelled in a certain element of lyricism and they're known for that. Pac excelled at poetic capabilities, storytelling, unique concepts, etc. If you're looking for intense wordplay, multis, and punchline then you obviously don't know the type of artist 2pac was. It's like listening to Big L and expecting to hear some poetic/socially conscious shyt but then your bumbed out to see that he is a punchline rapper. Pac was capable of being versatile (as shown in some of his songs) but he went down another route and presented himself like Ice Cube, Scarface, Spice 1, etc. he wanted that aggressive energy that compensates for his lack of wordplay and what not. Don't to try say "non lyrical ass" when you obviously don't know what a lyricist is and your shrewed definiton limits the genre as a whole.

None of those songs portray great complex wordplay or well written double entendres(and I mean the actual definition of the word)

U have a case for the metaphor aspect...he would often times reference things and objects thought of as divine to give more significance to his and our struggles

But when we're talkin technical

Pac does not compare to Biggie, Jay or Nas...Im sorry it is what it is

There is no Pac song that will reach the technical skill and storytelling ability of this

Ur portraying ur foolishness and homotional emotions in this one post

So lookie here breh

First u say that ur old enough to understand music is ultimately subjective but then go on to objectively speak of your miscontrued views of Jay's music as "wack" in an objective context.

U say "ultimately music is subjective" and all the technical stuff dnt matter n sht and its about who makes the best music..

Well subjectively u say Pac makes the best music
Subjectively I say Jay makes the best music

But lets make things a lil less subjective and bring up the technical aspects of rhyme....Pac is an amateur in these aspects
Jay especially early Jay encompassed a beautiful balance of recording technique, high level storytelling ability, great wordplay, well written metaphors, and great use of both storytelling and poetic devices which many people adore his music for today

See what Im doing...Im pointing out musical aspects to back up my love for his music

Ur stuck with iffy generalizations and vague evidences such as(brought out feelings and emotions out of me) which has to do more with you than the actual music because u are not pointing out the aspects the the music brings..

So in conclusion I will reiterate my previous point, that Pac stans are in essence retro Kanye stans who are all merely image obsessed, easily swayed, homotional ass nikkaz who have no adoration for music and the elements that go into music

:ahh:

:wow: Hov da gawd

Jay has witty rhymes that's it

Flow- some songs jay rips, I won't deny it. But pacs flow was vicious. He wasn't about off key flowing, choppy flow, up tempo flow, his was straight, to the point and raw

Voice- a rappers instrument is his voice, PAC had to have had the best voice ever. Don't compare that squeaky effeminate voiced jay to pacs voice

Artistry- PAC signing hooks, coming p with beats, creating choruses. The musicality is overwhelming

Subject matter- need I say more

Catalogue- pacs last three albums was hip hop at its Finest. Meanwhile you would have to dig for days through jays overwhelming about of generic garbage to find the odd good song

Meanwhile PAC making timeless classics with hurt m bad and Johnny j while jay buying the best producers in the market and still can't compete

That song above ur post is more than just "witty rhymes" its high level storytelling combined with high technical skill

:what: at voice...nikka his voice is one of the main reasons he had his first tour

Artistry? I thought the aspect was ultimately subjective :mjpls:

Catalogue? :heh: Jay's 4th best album(American Gangster) is better than Pac's best sht:heh:

Flow? :what: nikka Pac couldnt even double time without sounding like he's trapped in a burning building

nikkaz like Jay and Nas could flow effortlessly

nikka rlly said flow :deadrose:

Need I say more :mjpls:
