I have this argument with mufukkas saying these top artists nowadays are "young" and deserve time to improve.

Nas had already created two classics by the time he was 22. Biggie and Pac are landmarks in this shyt and neither lived to see 26. LL, Rakim, Mobb Deep, Scarface, Bone, etc., etc. were all making classics practically before they could even legally drink.

Society is getting too easy on people in general, especially young heads. Back then, you had to be a man at 13 and do legendary shyt because of all the crime and crack with it. Now, most hoods have less crime than before, kids have I pods and I pads computers, high end clothes. shyt is night and day in the last 20 years.

fukk outta here, you here shytting on pac meanwhile you stan the most over rated rapper off all time

mr i got 17 albums, 2 of them are good

no need to discuss nothing like a gentleman when thats not how you approached it

i :pacspit: on jigga stans hating on pac, instantly on general principle, no questions asked whatsoever

subjectively sure you can prefer jays music, that is your right. objectively one can easily assess who is the more developed artist.

pac telling producers what guitar riff to put into tracks, telling kci and jojo how he wants the hooks to go, telling hurt m badd what samples he wants, thats fuking artistry

>>>>>> "turn the flutes up guru"

:heh:

ignore me all u want faccot, pac is 100 times the artist jay ever was and ever will be,

all eyez on me >>>>>>>>>>>>> jays whole catalogue

Eminem released the Slim Shady LP when he was 27. People looked at him as a young rebellious kid.

I was thinking about this the other day actually when I realized dude turned 40 recently. I think we all remember Em being like 18-22 when he came out but in reality he was in his late 20's and had been toiling in the detroit underground scene for a minute

Pac brought all that shyt on himself. Not even trolling, his fans act like he went out great. Dude was a Blood affiliate who stomped out a Crip in Vegas and his death occurred after.

He derailed his own career hanging around with shiesty NYC street cats after Biggie and em warned him. Then signing with Suge sealed his fate.
I've been telling people this for years.

The fact that 2Pac is viewed as a martyr is a bit strange, why would young black males admire someone who actively sought the negative attention and then died at the age of 25 as the result of him beating down a crips member. It makes no sense

Pac is the goat as an artist and visionary but i agree he wasted what he could have been by becoming a gangbanger in his mid 20s

resistance is futile. GOAT status is inevitable for pac. No artist is doing anything to change it

What makes me laugh is literally 90% of the shyt you guys listen to these days...these rappers are barely even passable technically. And you shyt on the rappers that are technically good. Dismissing technique all together.

But then somehow, when it comes to Tupac....."ohh he wasn't technically good". Then technique matters.
