People actually remember that because Kobe froze out shaq on purpose. No guarantee they would have beaten the Pistons because that team was deadlier than anybody gave them credit for. But they weren't gonna win with kobe taking 27 foot fadeaways over 2-3 defenders.

2005 is funnier because LGBTWO used to flatly lie and say the Lakers missed the playoffs because Kobe was injured. Truth is, the lakers were in the 7-8th seed, then Kobe came back, then the lakers closed the season on an epic choke job.

The next season, Kobe choked away a 3-1 playoff series lead too.
