you should school me on that then. I never seem people line up for general releases until around 2010
Back in the 90's lines were never really big...there would be about 6 people usually....IMO shyt didn't get crazy till the Concords dropped...Yeah people were camping for SB's but the hype was nothing like it is now and SB's aren't popular like that anymore....

And you live in NY? I remember lining up for the fire red 5s back in 06. Granted the lines weren't very big, but my local spot only had like 3-4 pairs of each size and it was first come first serve. None of that new raffling bullshyt like nowadays
Ooooohhhh. I get it. We aren't on the same page. I'm not talking about just lining up. I'm talking about CAMPING. Meaning being out there the night before and waiting for the store to open. I'm sure there were lines in the 90s but no camping.

The concord and bred 11's came out my senior year in high school. And it wasn't a hassle to buy them. It was just than a lot of people couldn't afford retail.

Another thing I notice is these sneaker companies have failed when it comes to new designs. With the exception of Lebron and KD there are no decent sneakers coming out. The 80's and 90's had the flyest kicks so all they can do is recycle the old shyt. I just get :mjpls: when a 19 year old tries to school nikkas on Jordan's that originally came out when he wasn't even sperm in his daddy's but sack.

This

And is it me or has the quality of these re-releases gone down from the original shoes in the 90's.

It's as they are making a cheaper version and putting a higher price tag on them.

But yeah...there were white people in the sneaker game way before 09.

I've been in this since 2003/2004...it started with the Dunk SBs...but now? Shyt is ridiculous. I just rock kicks to rock...stock whatever. I don't even care no more man. I got what I wanted out of it. I don't feel the need to argue about...sneakers. Cause they're sneakers.

I used to be a sneakerhead and now I just don't really care anymore; with all truthfulness I kinda don't like wearing my J's anymore because I fell like a lame at age 28, shyt is watered down.

I understand was OP is saying and basically he saying that whites fukked up the sneakerhead game by making it commercialized and extremely public, before it was an underground. You will walk down the stree and catch a cat wearing some j's or some air maxes and you asked him where you get them and dude will be like over on yak yak; there plenty of sizes left. Now you ask a cat where did you get those blah blah; motherfukket be like, Oo i got the hook up. What I mean by underground is that you had to hunt for shoes and you did not have to fight motherfukkers for shoes. The last time I camped out for some shoes was the 2010 cool grey 11's; when I was sitting there and I got my shoes, I felt like a loser for wasting my time over some bullshyt.

My first pair of J's was back in 2004 the XII low obsidian and I wore those until they turned yellow and tossed them out, I still have my 04 olympics, 05 de la souls and 05 band aids. I tired to sell some of my collection and catz try to low ball me like a motherfukker. I have some DS supreme bruin sb's and dude said 100 bucks for pick up; I said get the fukk out my face with that bullshyt

I sold a lot of my shyt, but them eBay fees and dealing with randoms through Craigslist tho :shaq2:

Ebay is a rip off and if I sell through craiglist; I taking my 1911 for the meet up.

There are cosignment shops; but they want to take 15-25 percent of your total. I was like fukk that. I sold a pair when I was walking in the mall; dude asked me would I sell my blk and white jason kidd's to him; I said I have to give you the box also, he was like I just want the shoes no box. I was like 140 and dude went to the atm; got the cash and I walked to my car in my socks.

I respected dude because that's how shyt used to be; the game is all kinds of fukked up

I purchased my first pair of J's in 04 because I did not have a mommy and daddy to ask money for shoes; I had to get shyt on my own through hard work.

It was at the footlocker at the fox hills mall and I was 17
