I had 2 bad nights, the 2011 campout for the Concord 11s @ Pentagon City, and an overnight campout at fair oaks mall for the space jam SBs. After those 2 I said fukk it. Still love em but i ain't stressin off no fukkin jays. If i really like em i'll add the extra $100 but fukk it i'm older now. I had the hare 7s in my hand and walked out the fukkin store without em.

I still want the camo brian anderson SBs, and I need to get the french blues that dropped, the fabolous "trade it all video" joints. I need that:russ:

wouldnt call myself a sneaker head but growing up in bk in 90s it was just something you got into.
The game used to be so easy. I would pop the air bubble and send back my 95s to Nike. Get that voucher and cop some Jordan's online. This was back in the late 90s early 2000s. Never Camped, used to go to Fulton mall or nostand ave to cop shyt.

Corny whites def ruined the game with that reselling shyt. Plus they just look like they trying mad hard, rockin the all jordan fit n some retros looking :flabbynsick:

I'm bout to sell my shyts too. Could Prob get a couple racks. shyts are a waste of money anyway imo

ded so they're paying like x5 just to get it all at the same time
must be some rich cac
Nah, just the price goes up after retail stock ends and the sneaker becomes more scarce. I gave him 18k because he's buying in bulk. I could probably make more selling them all individually. But that would take too long.

For example
nike-air-foamposite-one-metallic-pewter-2.jpg
these are Pewter Foamposites. Retailed for 200 in 2011.

4 years later, they're harder to find, so the price goes up. I could sell them for 450-500 and someone would bite.

Plus I left out all the packages. Which can be another 5-10k down the line.

And yeah, I'm guessing he has $$. either that or hesa dikkhead

Naw, people used to always line up for Jordan's in the 90's. Which was asinine because it was always a large amount in stock unlike now of days. :mindblown:
This...

Yeah there weren't riots over jordans BUT dudes were still getting robbed & killed in the late 80s/ early 90s over jordans but we didn't have the internet to report on it. Local church leaders in Chicago wanted MJ to speak out against the violence but he NEVER did & drew criticism locally. The difference back then it all evened out because shoes were massed produced back then it was mainly brothas as the consumers.

As far as the sneaker game, I always had a strong love for shoes and I use to be a "sneakerhead" but I got out. I remember about two years ago there was this local sneaker shop that was doing FCFS on the gamma 11s. So I went out there on release day morning & it was raining and there were dudes out there in sleeping bags.

In the 90s/ early 00s it was nothing to go into the store at anytime & cop sneakers. I have a friend who works for Nike & he told me jordan brand are looking into ways to cut out resellers.

Some people say mass produce the sneakers, but people will still pimp the system & open up rinky dink online sneaker stores. JB is VERY stingy about giving out contracts to sell their products. Most dudes who sell LEGIT jordan retro sneakers buy their shoes wholesale therefore marking up high resell prices to make their money back.

Another thing that ruin the shoe game is broke paycheck to paycheck people buying multiple pairs of the same shoes & then trying to flip them for 50 to 100 bucks. That's a not a real hustle.

I think parents buying shoes for their teenage kids & I think OP is right. Wealthy suburban white kids infiltrating the culture also has paid a huge role.

Look at the NON retro jordans that are being released over the years, they are horrible. The rise & hype over retros have boomed and JB is making so much money off it. 2011 JB released the bordeaux, next month they're re-releasing them & they'll sell out in minutes. They can literally release anything "retro" & the "sneakerheads" & hypebeast will eat it up no matter how if the same shoe was just released two years prior.

I truly believe the majority of people just wanna buy the kicks & wear them. JB should super mass produce & most importantly do restocks. That will drive out the resell market. Let's say the 72-10's will release for $190, meaning the resell value will be around $350-500. People will be desperate they missed out on the raffles, etc and pay outrageous prices. Also the instore raffle ticket system isn't has random as they led on, it's just shady BS going on period.

Basketball sneakers are the closest thing we have to black owned sneakers that people would actually wears. Even if these guys are under contract to Nike, Reebok, etc we are still supporting a black man's brand. If you buy a pair of Air Maxs that's not the case

And who makes all the real money from these shoes....
