I think we dodged a bullet with this one not being released. In no way could I ever buy Nicholas Cage as Superman. This probably would have put the nail in the coffin if this was released.

Overall

I still can't Figure Out if Nick Cage is watchable in Action Movies. Can't Picture him as Good as Dean Cain did it. Always felt like Dean deserved a Movie with Teri in her Prime.

I really don't know what the Hell Marvel saw in him to Cast him for Ghost Rider either.

Yup. Jon Peters was hell bent on getting a giant spider into the film and third act involved him fighting Brainiac in the form of a giant spider because he wanted to pay homage to King Kong and (in his words to Kevin Smith) "spiders are the fiercest killers in the insect kingdom."

...

The fukkery of it all.


So, Superman Lives eventually got scrapped, but the giant spider did show up in another movie that Jon Peters produced - Wild Wild West.
