this dude switches 90% of time on defense, is always on the wrong side of the court, always loses his man, and lets his big men get dominated by guards.

it's even more frustrating cause he got all the tools to be a good defender, but he just refuses to play D.

last night was the perfect example. Thunder need a stop, irving has the ball at the top of the key and WB just lets Adams switch while he goes roams on the paint, probably to secure a rebound. Irving does his thing and goes by Adams and gets the easy layup.

As an MVP of the league and the leader of your team, there is no excuse for that. The whole 4th quarter he played like that. And in fact if you look at tapes of every game, you will this constantly. It's his 7th or 8th season in the league and he still refuses to play D. it's damn frustrating to watch

This has been the case for a very long time. The only reason people think he plays defense is cause of his extreme amount of stamina, quickness, and the fact that he looks mad all the time. That fools people into thinking he's a good defender, when really he easily bites on pumpfakes, overshooting the perimeter, and is generally out of position. Sure, Harden's defense is subpar, but you won't even get Westbrook to defend anybody in the post, something Harden is actually good at (even though he shouldn't get matched up on PFs like he does)

im pretty sure the game plan was to switch everything. put that on the coach. most teams are doing this now as they have mobile players at every position. its harder to show an recover with all the floor spacing, athleticism, and multiple screen setting by the offense. trying stick on one guy you can get lost easily.

WB is ok defender he just gambles too much.

its crazy that he's gotten worse the older he's gotten. Prime HarDen, LD, and Russ OKC era, he was a dependable on-ball defender. Since then he's basically played that dumb Bron field safety position
